Virtual Middle School Earth Science(6th - 7th)

Course description: This course will be held for 1.5 hours per week for 32 total sessions. In this course, we will focus on maps, minerals, rocks, soil, erosion, volcanoes, plate tectonics, the atmosphere, energy resources, the earth-moon system and much more. We will use a mixture of cooperative learning, thinking maps, lectures, notes, and lab experiments to assist with understanding the topics.

Virtual Middle School Life Science(6th - 8th)

Course description: This course will be held for 1.5 hours per week for 32 weeks. In this course, we will focus on the characteristics of living things, life cycles, plant and animal cell structure, ecology, genetics, classification of organisms, the structure and function of human cells tissues organs and organ systems and the structure and function of plants. We will use a mixture of cooperative learning, thinking maps, lectures, notes, and lab experiments to assist with understanding the topics.

Virtual High School Chemistry(10th - 12th)

Course description: This course will be held for 2 hours per week for 32 total sessions. In this course, we will focus on matter, density, the periodic table, physical and chemical reactions, atoms, acids and bases, Lewis structures, chemical formulas and much more. We will use a mixture of cooperative learning, thinking maps, lecture, notebooks, and lab experiments to assist with understanding the topics. As scientific learners, students will analyze the data collected from expirements, answer questions, and write a lab report.

Prerequisite: Algebra 1 or may be taken concurrently
Course description: This course will be held for 2 hours per week for 32 weeks. This course will emphasize the development of student's scientific process skills, laboratory techniques and an understanding of the fundamental principles of living organisms. Topics include cell structure and function, genetics and heredity, diversity of living organisms and their ecological roles, and an introduction to animal structure and function. As scientific learners, students will analyze the data collected from expirements, answer questions, and write a lab report.
