Prerequisite: Algebra 1
Course description: This course will be held for 2 hours per week for 32 total sessions.
In this course, we will focus on matter, density, the periodic table, mixtures, physical and chemical reactions, atoms, acids and bases, Lewis structures, chemical formulas, and much more.
We will use a mixture of cooperative learning, thinking maps, lectures, notes, and lab experiments to assist with understanding the topics.
As scientific learners, students will analyze the data collected from experiments, answer questions, and write a lab report.
